Ikebana Classes

In my classes, students learn about principles, techniques and materials for creating ikebana arrangements with the aid of the official Sogetsu School textbooks. Students first learn a variety of basic ikebana styles called Kakei, following lessons that enable beginners to create beautiful arrangements from their first class onward. Students who complete basic studies progress to the study of creative freestyle themes that distinguish the Sogetsu School from traditional ikebana schools.

My classes often include students at different levels of study, with each working at their own pace. I try to foster a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in my classes to facilitate the mindful practice of ikebana.
